This article was teased in a prior article that named names, particularly Rep. Tom Davis (R VA-11). Apart from the unintentional joke at the expense of Booz [no “e”], Allen, I would have thought I was reading The Washingtonian.

Now that the next article has been teased as forward looking, may I suggest that it touch on the race that will be decided 10 weeks from today between Leslie Byrne and Gerry Connolly for the Dem nomination (and instant frontrunner in the general election) for Tom Davis’s seat?

Certainly, as the major player in Fairfax County politics in recent years, Connolly must have fingerprints all over the contracts described in this article. For her part, Byrne’s decision to sign on to the progressive Responsible Plan to End the War, has to provide clues to what changes Northern Virginia may face should she win the seat.

This has got to be a target-rich environment for an investigative reporter. You can think and act both globally and locally, and you’ll miss it, if you don’t act now.
