Johnson: I'm the Strictest Ever!

By Matthew Blake 05/20/2008 02:53PM

EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson is testifying right now before Henry Waxman's House oversight committee. A lot of enviro's are down on Johnson for letting the White House overrule the ozone standard Johnson's EPA staff set. But Johnson keeps telling us: these are the strictest ozone standards ever. Ever! Stricter than in the Clinton administration. Stricter than even in the George Washington and Abraham Lincoln administration.

"These are the strictest ozone standards in the history of the nation," Johnson just told Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) three times.

The Bush administration is also one of the top five administrations to deal with global warming, which the hearing will get into later. Better than FDR.
