Riverside, Calif. --- Following a fund-raiser in Riverside Calif., Sen. John McCain stepped into a largely empty ballroom to field questions from the press. When we asked if he thought Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's ability to reach across the aisle was a model for his would-be administration, and whether he worried that such sentiments might alienate his base, the presumptive Republican nominee said:
"I believe in bipartisanship and that’s been my record of reaching across the aisle. Whether it be to Joe Lieberman, to Russ Feingold, to Ted Kennedy…that’s been what I’ve done. Sen. Obama on the other-hand talks about it but has done almost nothing. Sen. Obama had an amendment that would have torpedoed our immigration, comprehensive immigration reform by trying to kill by proposing an amendment that ended overtime the temporary worker program. So I have a long record of that and I think that's what the American people want. I have a long record of putting my country, not only before my party, but before myself. Sen. Obama does not have that record. He talks the talk but has not walked the walk."

The major differance between the two candidates is the fact that in this time of war we need a President who has put his life on the line and worn the uniform himself in time of war. Senator John McCain is ready to lead from day one with no OJT (on the job training) necessary.
It is my fervent hope that he picks either Secretary of State or former Secretary of State General (Retired) Colin Powell as his running mate.
Moderation is the key in this election and moderate McCain is well positioned to win with the right running mate, such as Powell or Rice.
Mr. Obama seems flip/flop wishy washy himself on issues, most notably the money one. By turning down campaign financing Mr. Obama figures he will have more money to buy this election. We can’t serve money and my vote is not for sale!
