McCain's Magic Number

By Holly Yeager 03/04/2008 01:46PM

With all the attention on the Democrats, we shouldn't forget about the race for the GOP nomination. Tuesday's primaries could well push John McCain over the 1,191 delegates he needs to secure the nomination.

McCain has scheduled an election-night bash in Dallas, and has been announcing a steady stream of endorsements. Tuesday he added Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colo., to the list.

Mike Huckabee is planning to spend the evening down the road in Irving. In a Fox News interview Monday, Huckabee seemed more ready than he has been to give up the fight:

If John McCain gets 1,191, there won't be a lot of pressure, because I have said that once he gets to that — by the way, it needs to be that those numbers get consistent somewhere, because they are not right now by anybody's count. When they are, I have said, you know, I'm going to accept that the people have spoken. But they haven't spoken yet.

Holly? The McCainiac’s magic number is 100. 100 years of war in the Savant. Gosh, isn’t that something to look forward to? Free Palestine!
