Meanwhile, In Libertarian News

By Holly Yeager 04/03/2008 04:48PM

It looks like former Rep. Bob Barr (R-Ga.) is getting ready to throw his hat into the presidential contest.

Reason's David Weigel is reporting that Barr will announce his exploratory committee on Saturday in Kansas City, at the Heartland Libertarian Conference.

Despite Mike Gravel's recent debut as a libertarian candidate, an announcement by Barr would make him the immediate frontrunner in the race for the Libertarian nomination. The party is on the ballot in 45 states.

For a short course on Barr, check out his BobBarr.org, including his blog, "where experience, logic and ideas trump political correctness and the status quo every time."

Could this be the American president Americans have been waiting for?

Holly? You’re going to want to be very careful using ‘Reason’ magazine and Libertarian in the same breath or sentence if you will. Catch up with what Justin Raimondo said about ‘Reason’ and Reason’s idiot editor that Welch guy. Raimondo IS the voice of Libertarians everywhere. ‘Reason’ is a dried up sorry excuse for “hack” pulp. By way of disclaimer, I wouldn’t dare to speak for Libertarians. No way. However, I’m a huge fan of the Raimondo and he can shred ass like nobody’s business. I am speaking literarily and no further inference may or should be construed. That by way of disclaimer thingy again. TTFN Holly, love you love your work! Oh yeah, Rep. Bob Barr (ret. R-Ga.) would make a GREAT president. I mean, look at the idiot bastard we’ve got for a president now. That George Bush is one murderous lying piece of work.

Who in the world told Mr. Barr he had a chance in the world to be elected president? I remember well when he was in congress. He was a buffoon, a sexist and adulterer. Does he think citizens will not remember? This year’s election is messed up enough as it is…
we don’t need this clown in it too.
