With just 10 days before the start of the summer Olympics in Beijing, GOP Sen. Sam Brownback (Kan.) stepped up his denunciation of China on human rights, charging the nation's leaders with a conspiracy to spy on international hotel guests during the games. From a statement issued today:
The Chinese government has put in place a system to spy on and gather information about every guest at hotels where Olympic visitors are staying. This means journalists, athletes' families and other visitors will be subjected to invasive intelligence gathering by the Chinese Public Security Bureau.
This isn't the first time Brownback has voiced this rebuke. In May, the former GOP presidential hopeful made similar claims about China's intentions to monitor the Internet communications of Olympic visitors. But this time around, he says he has written proof leaked from several anonymous international hotel chains. The documents purport that Beijing has threatened fines and license revocations against those who don't cooperate with the spying.
The claims have done nothing to discourage President George W. Bush, who remains intent on attending the elaborate opening ceremonies on Aug. 8. Earlier this month, Bush said that his staying home "would be an affront to the Chinese people."

Bush fully supports illegal spying; so I’m sure he fully supports China’s intentions. Fair game.
After all, Bush has illegally wire-tapped Americans. When a man (Bush) can push aside all forms of law, constitution, and reason, why wouldn’t he support such a megalomaniac evil regime as China? Bush himself said, “What this country (USA) needs is a dictator, and it would be much easier if I was the dictator!”

This is why i am using http://LiteVPN.com when I am in china for the Olympics. Their services allows me to bypass restrictions placed on the internet and it also secures my access to websites in the US. I recommend anyone going there to use this service.
