Sadly, this is isn't a beat we cover here on The Streak, but in a past life I dedicated a great deal of time to tracking the muck-ladden team that is the Alaska Congressional delegation. I blogged and added my own two-cents worth of reporting over at TPMmuckraker to a litany of scandals, from Rep. Don Young's extra-Constitutional earmarking -- at the behest of Floridian rain-maker -- to Sen. Lisa Murkowski's half-priced, river-front land deal that would have put her in the backyard of one Alaska's most questionable campaign contributors. Oh, and let's not forget Sen. Ted Stevens' home remodeling -- sponsored by an Alaska oil services company -- that seemed to be the trigger for the first-ever FBI raid of a sitting-senator's home. And today we have the big news: Sen Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Republican senator -- has been indicted on seven counts related to his work in office. And to think, it's my birthday! What better gift could I get?
